Every cup is gamma-irradiated for terminal sterilization and individually sealed at the point of manufacture. The seal itself is your indicator — if it's intact when you open the package, the cup inside has not been contaminated since sterilization.

No. Our cups and syringes are manufactured from medical-grade polypropylene with no spermicide, surfactant, or lubricant coating of any kind, so they won't interfere with sperm motility or lab analysis results.

The standard specimen cup is for collection only — used for lab drop-off or testing. The insemination kit includes the same sterile cup plus a soft-tip transfer syringe and instructions specifically for at-home insemination.

No. All orders ship in plain, unmarked boxes. The return address shows only "Schwille Collection Cups, LLC" with no reference to the contents, and the billing descriptor on your card statement is generic.

Orders placed before 2:00pm ET ship the same business day via standard ground shipping (2-5 business days) or optional expedited overnight shipping, which is useful for time-sensitive ovulation windows.

For sterility and safety reasons, opened specimen cups, syringes, and kits cannot be returned or exchanged. Unopened, sealed products may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

It's a good idea, especially if you have any known fertility concerns, are over 35, or have been trying to conceive for six months or more (or twelve months if under 35) without success. A physician can also help you confirm ovulation timing and rule out issues that home insemination won't resolve.

Licensed sperm banks screen and quarantine donor specimens according to FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 1271), including infectious disease testing. If you're using a known donor rather than a bank, we strongly recommend arranging equivalent screening through a physician or fertility clinic before use.

If several cycles of at-home insemination haven't resulted in pregnancy, or if you have known fertility risk factors, it's worth scheduling a consultation with a reproductive endocrinologist to discuss options like clinical IUI or IVF.
